Discusión: Es Federer de Bilbao?

Yo estoy casi seguro que está sacado de contexto, pero vamos aunque no lo esté tiene toda la razón del mundo. Yo personalmente prefiero a una persona algo arrogante (si se le puede llamar asi, porque creo que Federer no lo es) a que peque de falsa modestia, porque sería negar la evidencia en este caso.

Federer: "Soy el mejor del mundo"

Roger Federer señaló tras obtener su tercer Open de Australia, que efectivamente pueden llamarle genio, y que Rafael Nadal es el jugador a batir en Roland Garros, su infierno por el momento. "Creo que soy el mejor jugador de tenis del mundo, y podéis llamarme genio porque me impongo a muchos de mis rivales, a cada uno de forma diferente, ganando incluso sin jugar lo mejor que sé. Todo eso hace que lo sea y es agradable", aseguró.

Federer reconoció que ahora sueña con completar el Grand Slam. "Ahora estoy cerca de nuevo de ganar los cuatro consecutivos. Esto es lo que está en mi mente ahora hasta que llegue el US Open. Roland Garros es desde luego, el próximo grande para mi. Será interesante ver como lo voy a hacer ahora allí. Cada año he dado un paso mas, alcanzando las semis y la final, acercándome a Nadal", dijo.

El suizo calificó a Nadal como el rival a batir en Roland Garros, el próximo Grand Slam. "Creo que físicamente es muy fuerte y ha crecido en esta superficie. Después de ganar 60 partidos seguidos en tierra tiene una gran confianza, y sabe cómo hay que jugar. Cubre la pista muy bien, además es zurdo. Y todas esas combinaciones le hacen muy duro. Es un gran jugador y yo disfruto viéndole en tierra. Me encantó retarle la pasada temporada, los tres partidos que tuvimos fueron fantásticos y disfruté mucho", señaló.

"Fernando González debió ganar al primer set"

Sobre la final tuvo claro que fue un proceso de adaptación a su rival. "Tuve que adaptarme al juego de Fernando, que ha cambiado y ha hecho que sea más difícil atacarle", dijo el campeón. "Debió ganar el primer set, aunque eso no hubiera sido un problema. Intenté decirme, 'juega tu juego, le has ganado nueve veces en nueve partidos. Sé agresivo. No le des puntos gratis", continuó.

Federer admitió que los dos puntos de set de Fernando González pudieron ser clave y que de haberlos aprovechado el chileno, todo hubiera cambiado. "Podría haber sucedido", dijo, "no sé si fueron el momento del cambio, pero creo que él hubiera tomado una gran ventaja y habría jugado mas suelto luego, y habría tenido más oportunidades".

"Yo quizás hubiera estado con más presión. Pero lo cierto es que manejé la situación bien, porque sabía que no eran bolas de partido, solo 'set points' . Acabó funcionando bien, aunque fuera un partido difícil. Estoy orgulloso de haberlo conseguido otra vez. Mis decisiones siempre parecen correctas y por eso es tan difícil ganarme. Si yo no fuera yo, estaría impresionado de ver al mismo tío ganando siempre", admitió el suizo, que se reconoció inspirado al principio de su carrera por Boris Becker y Stefan Edberg."

Recuerdo que cuando Lleyton Hewitt era el número uno pensaba que nadie sería capaz de batirle simplemente porque era mejor que el resto. "Well, now I'm again close to winning four in a row basically," Federer said.
"That's what's again on my mind before thinking of going all the way through to US Open.
"French Open is obviously the next big one for me. That's going to be very interesting to see how I'm going to do there.
"I've made one step further every year now. Went from semis to finals. Got closer to Raf, as well.
"I hope it's going to work out for me, and (that) I'm going to play well, hopefully win the title.
"That will be a dream come true. That's the only way I can make this season a better one than last year.
"Otherwise it won't be possible.
"I'm going to give myself the best possible chance, like I did last year.
"But it's so difficult to do. It's such a long way to go that I've just won one-quarter out of it.
"To think of it, just to do it all over again, on all different surfaces, it's going to be so hard.
"I'm happy I won the first one. I'll be happy if that's the only one I win this season.
"But I'm going to make the best run possible for the other ones as well."



Por decirlo, pues lo dice, pero hay que ver cuando y como lo dice. Lo que hacen As y Marca con sus declaraciones, pues el pan nuestro de cada día de su política editorial. Lo malo de esto es q mucha gente opina de tenis sin verlo y solo con lo que le dicen los medios. Yo sigo diciendo que le hacen un flaco favor a rafa a pesar de que ya no intentan ponerles al mismo nivel. Veremos que pasa cuando empiece la temporada en tierra.

Este año Rafa lo va a tener difícil para ser el mejor en tierra, y me da miedo pensar en la reacción de estos panfletos futbolerodeportivos.

Vamos, que de Bilbao Bilbao no es. Ya me parecía que hablaba un euskera un poco raro.

Marca nos ha vuelto a deleitar con un nuevo ejemplo de prensa amarilla. Hoy le ha tocado a Federer, mañana...quién sabe a quién.

Hace unas semanas haciendo alusiones a un`partido de los lakers dijeron un par de veces el 8 de los Lakers bla bla bla, se ve q los que escriben las noticias siguen mucho los eventos y tal. Kobe lleva el 24 xdddddd

Y esto solo viendo titulares, q si se entra en el desarrollo errores para aburrir...

Bastante tiempo ha aguantado sin decirlo. Tiene toda la razón, es el mejor de todos los tiempos. Yo creo que se ha ganado el derecho a decirlo.

A ver si esto pica un poco a los rivales, porque casi todos se acojonan cuando juegan con él. Es el mejor y ganaría de todas formas, pero es triste que llegue Roddick con una racha buenísima y haga el ridículo como lo hizo en semis...
