Discusión: Los que no residamos en UK trabajaremos ahora con Betfair Malta

Betfair Customer Services 01 May 12:20 For operational and commercial reasons, Betfair is restructuring its international business.

If you are a Betfair customer with a UK-registered address, this change will have no impact on you whatsoever. If you are a non-UK customer, the changes will not impact your betting experience or the features available. Equally, the provision of helpdesk, payments and other services will be unaffected. The only change is that the company you will be betting with, Betfair International, will be licensed in Malta, as is already the case for Betfair’s existing Games, Poker, Casino and Multiples betting products.

This means two things for you: first, you will be asked to accept a new set of Terms and Conditions, because Betfair International is governed by Maltese law, not English law.
Second, in the event that you have an unresolved dispute, the regulator to which you should make a complaint against Betfair is the Maltese regulator, and not the UK Gambling Commission.

There is no change to the way any customer interfaces with the API. There is no need for any customer to recompile their application against a new endpoint. API requests are received by the existing API endpoint in the UK, or Australia for markets on the Australian exchange.

What is new with this change is interaction between the UK and Malta after a bet request is received by the UK endpoint. This interaction only applies to non-UK registered customer bets (API and non-API) because these customers are betting with Betfair International in Malta. Based on our testing, we expect the interaction between the UK and Malta to take an average of c.120 milliseconds. This breaks down as follows:

1. Your bet request from your location to Betfair in the UK: timing dependent on your location
2. Your bet request from the UK to Betfair International in Malta: approx. 30 milliseconds
3. Bet request from Betfair International in Malta to the UK: approx. 30 milliseconds
4. Bet response (matched, unmatched, partially matched) from the UK to Betfair International in Malta: approx. 30 milliseconds
5. Your bet response from Betfair International to the UK: approx. 30 milliseconds
6. Your bet response from the UK to your location: timing dependent on your location

This routing only applies to the following API calls: placeBet, updateBet, cancelBet.
It also applies to the following API calls where a Market ID is not specified: getCurrentBets, getCurrentBetsLite, getMUBets, getMUBetsLite, getBetHistory

Should Betfair experience a problem with the link to Malta, or in Malta itself resulting in an interrupted service for non-UK registered customers, Betfair will cancel all non-UK customer unmatched bets on volatile* markets.

*Horse and Greyhound racing markets 20mins before the off, all in-play markets and all financial markets including Tradefair markets. As a market moves into the 20min before the off time, it becomes subject to this process.

media hora más tarde de haber realizado la apuesta, sigue sin aparecer.
El único rastro se ve en el sumario de cuenta donde pone el dinero que tienes expuesto, pero no hay manera de saber dónde lo tienes puesto.

No me quiero ni imaginar lo que debe ser apostar en live en estas condiciones

Esperemos que se solucione pronto porque así poca cosa se puede hacer

Pues menuda judiada que hacen, porque 300/500ms son vitales en algunas apuestas de tenis.

Además eso significa seguro, un empobrecimiento del servicio y leyes de cara a los usuarios.

Lo que tengo por curiosidad y he preguntado, yo que soy residente en UK, si me voy de vacaciones fuera, estaré pasando por malta? Enrutaran por IP o como?

Explican poca cosa la verdad.

Lo que consiguen con esto ese meternos un retardo doblado de casi un segundo a los que no vivamos en UK,no?
Con lo que por ejemplo ellos pueden jugar perfectamente al punto en un partido de tenis y nos llevaran siempre ventaja en todo, no?

Pues cojonudo, de verdad que cada dia estoy mas contento con betfair.
